2023年6月11〜21日、ベトナムの風土建築に関するフィールド調査を実施しました。メインの調査は前半の中部高原ジャーライ省、コントゥム省におけるバナ族のコミュニティハウスです。フエ科学大学、ベトナム文化芸術院の研究者と共同で実施しました。バナ族の集会施設は20ｍ程の高さをもつ独特の形態をもち、集落の中で建ち上がる様子は圧倒的です。ここでは在来建築技術に関するインタビュー調査、建築形態に関する実測調査を多数おこなうことができました。現代においても多くの集落でこの集会施設は維持されており、今後の維持継承についても問題無く実施できるという意見が大半を占めていました。この点ももっと深く理解を深めたいと考えています。ある村でたまたま催されていた祭にも参加させてもらい、伝統的な食事を堪能しました。

From June 11 to 21, we conducted a field survey of traditional architecture in Vietnam. In the first half of the project, the focus was on “Rong” (Ba Na community houses) in the Central Highlands provinces of Jarlai and Kon Tum. It was conducted in collaboration with researchers from Hue University of Science and Vietnam National Institute Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS). The Ba Na community house has a unique shape with a height of about 20 meters, and the way it rises up in the village is overwhelming. We were able to conduct a series of interviews and surveys on the traditional building techniques and architectural forms. The majority of the interviewees were of the opinion that these meeting places are still maintained in many villages today and can be easily maintained and passed on in the future. I would like to deepen my understanding of this point. I also happened to attend a festival in one of the villages and enjoyed a traditional meal.
