2023年6月19日、フエ省アルイ県ホンハ社を訪問しました。ここはJICA草の根事業（京都大学地球環境学堂とフエ農林大学の共同）で伝統集会施設の再建プロジェクトが実施された集落です（2007年9月完成）。今回は住民が共同する屋根、床、壁パネルの更新作業を視察しました。完成から15年程が経ちますが、ベトナム戦争後この集落で初めて建設した伝統集会施設維持へのモチベーションは非常に高く、熱心に加工作業に従事する長老衆の姿が印象的でした。

On June 19, 2023, we visited Hong Ha Community, Arui District, Hue Province. This is a village where the traditional community house has been rebuilt with the support of the Grass-Roots Human Security Project (GGP) program (jointly implemented by Kyoto University School of Global Environmental Studies and Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry). This time, we observed the renovation of the roof, floor, and wall panels done jointly by the residents. Although it has been about 15 years since its completion, the motivation to maintain the traditional meeting house, which was the first one built in this village after the Vietnam War, is very high, and I was impressed by the elders who were enthusiastically engaged in the renovation work.
