2023年6月9日、第11回京都建築賞の受賞式がありました。昨年完成した住宅「西陣の立体町家」が優秀賞を受賞しました。この住宅は間口の狭いウナギの寝床の敷地(4ｍ×26ｍ)で、多様なレベルの床面設定で発生する隙間から「家族の気配」を感じたり、「自然光」を引き込んだり、「空気の流れ」をもたらすように設計しています。(写真：最後の1枚以外は写真家の衣笠名津美さん)

On June 9, 2023, the 11th Kyoto Architecture Award for Excellence was awarded to the “Multi-floored Machiya House in Nishijin” designed by Prof. H Kobayashi. This residence was built on a long and narrow lot (4m x 26m) in Kyoto City and was completed in 2022. Prof. Kobayashi designed the house to feel the “presence of the family” through the many floor openings, to bring in “natural light”, and to bring in “air flow”.
