This internship was conducted in Ivory coast, west Africa at the UNESCO Abidjan office. My main aim for this internship was to Learn about the work type and project plan development in a UNESCO office. This opportunity gave me a knowledge about the kind of work conducted in such important international organization like the UN. I got to work on several projects concerning the preservation of architectural cultural heritage in a West Africa country:
-The preservation of the world heritage historic town of Grand-Bassam.
-The Northern Sudanese earth type mosques in northern Ivory Coast inscription on UNESCO World heritage list (with a 10 days’ work field trip to the site).
-Participation to various UNESCO workshops & conferences
During my staying in Africa, I also took the opportunity to investigate a potential thesis research axis to define and collect relevant data by conducting field trips to traditional villages and visits to the National University.
