大阪府八尾市、近鉄八尾駅近くの商店街｢ファミリーロード｣の景観舗装のデザイン提案をおこない、３月末に一部施工が完了する予定です。以前にJR八尾駅南駅前広場で試行した河内木綿の文様をモチーフとする舗装パターンをここでも踏襲しています。今後、商店街の舗装更新を進めるとともに、八尾市の景観アイデンティティを創造する舗装デザインのガイドライン作成をおこないます。

We proposed the designs of landscape pavement in “Family Road” shopping street just near Kintetsu Yao station in Yao city, Osaka prefecture. And the construction will be completed in a part of the shopping streets by the end of this March. The design motif comes from the traditional textile patterns locally developed in Yao area. This design idea created in our laboratory was already practiced in the station square of JR Yao station. Hereafter, we will make the design guideline of landscape pavement for the local identity of Yao city.
