地域資源および伝統的な地域防災対策を調査するため、守山、木戸、 荒川、大物・南比良集落で石堤や鹿垣の実測調査や、その利用に関する聞き取り調査を行った。また、守山集落で代々、石屋「石定」を営む石塚家に石工の仕事や守山集落の石垣に関する聞き取り調査を行った。

We conducted an interview survey and measurement survey on stone walls for flood and wild animal prevention to understand the local natural resources and traditional disaster management in Moriyama, Kido, Arakawa Daimotsu and Minami-Hira Villages. And, we also did interview on stone masonry and stone walls in Moriyama Village.
