12月17日に兵庫県篠山市で開催された平成29年度丹波地域大学連携フォーラムにて、博士課程2年の宮地と修士課程1年の和田が本研究室で取り組んでいる竹でバス停をデザインするプロジェクト「Bamboo Bus Stop Project」について発表いたしました。地域の方からは「地元高校と大学が連携して地域のためにバス停を作ってくれていて嬉しい」「丹波では放置竹林が大きな課題となっているので、竹の新たな活用方法をどんどん見出していってほしい」といったお言葉を頂きました。来年2月の完成を目標に竹のベンチや壁の製作を進めていく予定です。

On Dec. 17th, Miyaji (D2) and Wada (M1) participated in a forum in Sasayama city, Hyogo prefecture. This forum focused on collaboration between Tamba district and universities, and we reported on “Bamboo Bus Stop Project.” We got comments from local residents, such as “we are glad to hear that local high school joins bus stop project for our community in cooperation with you,” “Abandonment of bamboo forest is a big issue in Tamba, so I want you to find new various usages of bamboo.” This project aims to finish in February 2018.
