当研究室の特色 / About this laboratory
当研究室は大学院地球環境学堂・学舎に所属し、工学部建築学科・工学研究科建築学専攻の協力講座として、教育研究活動に取り組んでいます。修士課程は、地球環境学舎環境マネジメント専攻、または工学研究科建築学専攻から進学することができます。環境マネジメント専攻と建築学専攻では、カリキュラムやコースワークが大きく異なるためご留意下さい。博士課程学生の受入れは地球環境学舎（環境マネジメント専攻、または地球環境学専攻）のみです。
修士課程、博士課程とも、いずれの専攻から進学しても研究室活動は区別なく一緒に行っています。
The Global Environmental Architecture Laboratory belongs to the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) at Kyoto University, and affiliated to the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at Kyoto University
There are two ways to become a master’s student in this laboratory. One is to join the Master’s Program in Environmental Management of GSGES, and another is to join through the Graduate School of Engineering (Japanese lecture only). Please bear in mind that each curriculum have distinctive characteristics.
To join this laboratory as a doctoral student, you can choose the Doctoral Program in Environmental Management or in Global Environmental Studies of GSGES. Regardless of the graduate school they belong to, research activities are carried out all together in the laboratory.
地球環境に関わる様々な学問を幅広く学ぶ学際融合の大学院です。授業では多様な国や地域、また研究バックグラウンドを持った学生が集まり、英語中心の講義、野外実習や長期インターン研修などの特徴あるカリキュラムです。一方、研究室では人間環境設計論に関わる専門的なトピックについて修士研究を構築していきます。吉田キャンパスでの授業が中心です。
In GSGES, the environment is learned from a global level in a multidisciplinary perspective integrating both humanity and science. GSGES has a distinctive curriculum that includes English-centric classes, fieldworks, and a long-term internship. Meanwhile, the lab works are mainly focusing on global environmental architecture. All classes and lab activities are mainly held in Yoshida Campus.
建築学を専門とする大学院です。建築学専攻の協力講座として修士課程学生を毎年複数名受け入れています。工学研究科（桂キャンパス）での通常講義とともに、研究室（吉田キャンパス）のプロジェクトやフィールドワークに参加し現場からの学びを重視します。修士研究は、地球環境学舎と同様に人間環境設計論分野に関わる専門的なトピックとします。
Our laboratory is a cooperating chair for Graduate School of Engineering and accepts students in the Graduate School of Engineering who are studying about architecture and engineering. All classes are given in Japanese and mainly held in Katsura Campus. Lab works are mainly focusing on global environmental architecture and held in Yoshida Campus.
